Free classifieds sites are booming in India. Craigslist is big hit in many countries but I am not sure if the free classifieds concept is working out in India or not. I personally haven't used any of the free classifieds in India though. I wrote about few free indian classifieds sites a while back. Today I found out another free classified website focusing on India.
The site is called MeraMaal.com. It has a decent user interface and the color theme is pretty neat. It is currenly available for many of the Indian cities. Its basically standard boiler pate with categories, cities, search functionality. You can post your classifieds for free and look for a classified posted by others.
One thing I would like to recommend though.. it should list number of available classifieds in a particular category on the front page for the city as it makes it easier for the user to make sure that there is something available before they go inside the category. Most of these free classifieds don't have items under each category. So if you are looking for something in Automobile and select the automobile category, you will realize that there is nothing available in that category..
Other than that, its an another free classified website for Indian consumers.
