Retirement in India used to be at the age of 58 but lately quite many companies and government agencies have increased the retirement age for their employees by two years and now the retirement age in India is around 60 years. So you worked your whole life and now would like to retire, I have seen people taking VR(Volunteer Retirement) at the age of 55.

So if you are retired, bored at home and want to start your work again, ICICI Prudential & Dignity Foundation, an NGO has launched a new job portal for senior citizens. The portal will provide a platform to retired people to find jobs where they can use their expretise. 

The portal is called DignitySecondCareers.org. The site will bring together companies who are open to enrich and benefit from the rich experiences of the retired people and those who are enthusiastic to pursue careers post their retirement. After visiting the site, it looks like they haven't put lot of efforts to make the site.

Though this can be good platform for senior people to find a job, my question is "Why another job portal for Senior citizens?" Why can't companies use existing job portals to post their jobs for "senior citizens"?
