PDFs are now industry standard. Its easy, its convenient and on top of that its a free format. I have covered how you can Convert PDF Files To Word Files Free. If you have been reading Information Madness long enough, you might remember I have also covered 5 Ways to Convert PDFs to SWF. So how can you convert any other file format into PDF??

If you are using Windows machine, there are free open source softwares that can sit on your computers as a virtual printer and you can convert any file into PDF by hiting the print button and selecting the "PDFCreator" printer. You can find the list of such softwares at Wikipedia. But what about converting any file to PDF online? And thats too for free?

PrimoPDF is an online service that lets you convert any files into PDF online for free. The list of file types that can be convereted to PDF online for free are Microsoft Word (DOC, DOCX, RTF), MS Excel (XLS, XLSX), MS PowerPoint (PPT, PPTX), MS Publisher (PUB), MS Visio (VSD), WPD, ODF, HTML, TXT and many more.   That's always true. You can do it using OpenOffice but when you are at some
  other computer which doesn't have OpenOffice and need some file quickly
  converted to PDF, this can come real handy.

  I use OpenOffice to convert any file(doc,xls,txt etc) into PDF for free :grin
