Back in March, Telecom service provider Hutch and Microsoft teamed up to offer Live Search for mobile users of India. Live Search enables Hutch customers to search for content like Tones, Images, Videos and Games on PlanetHutch as well as information from the web.

The Live Search for mobile will be available on the PlanetHutch home page. Currently Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad cities have this service available to Hutch customers. Now this service has been launched for GPRS users in Delhi.

One another greate feature about Live Search service is, click-to-call. If you have searched for something which displays a phone number, that number would be highlighted as an hyperlink and you can click on that number directly to make a call.

If you have searched for an address, you can save that in your contacts. Soon Microsoft Live Search in USA launched another greate feature "Movies" along with its well known search. Users can search for the currently playing movies in their areas and look for the showtimes. I can see that this feature would also be soon available for Indian Mobile users as well. Live Search's USA version also includes Maps. For Indian version of Live Search would have to wait little longer to get this feature though.
