
Motor vehicle theft is one of heads under which crime is classified. This includes four wheelers or two wheelers. Every year there are hundreds of cases for automobile thef. Stolen vehicles usually find their way into used car markets in another part of the country where unwary buyers can end up with a vehicle that has forged registration documents.
There is a National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) which suppose to keep records of missing vehicles and stolen vehicles. Thats another story all together. But one company in India has developed a security system which can help you locate your stolen vehicle.

But its true, the company from India called Xenos Technologies has rolled out a security system which can help you locate your vehicle by sending an SMS. They have developed an alarm and remote start system with two remotes.
The company has added features such as vehicle locate, vehicle immobiliser, remote start, electronic learn remote etc. if a vehicle is lifted/stolen, the owner would be able to locate the vehicle by sending an SMS to the vehicle. A unit which functions like a Black-box is fitted in the vehicle. This receives and sends signal to the vehicle owner. Its available for two wheelers as well as four wheelers. (via: The Hindu)
