ImageI have seen quite many interesting online application developed by College students lately. Wether its their college project or their passion to learn something new. Here is an application that I stumbled upon which can visually trace route of a website. If you know "trace root" which tells you the path Internet packets traverse to reach a specified destination.

The visual trace route tool displays this on the Google Maps. The tool works by identifying the IP addresses of each hop along the way to the destination network address. The estimated geophysical location of each hop is identified using MaxMind's GeoIP database. After all of the hops locations' are identified, the path to the destination is plotted on a Google Map.

You can play around with this tool here. Its pretty cool. Check it out.
