Exclusive: Google Maps India will soon have driving directions for Indian cities. Google Map Maker, google's crowd sourcing tool that lets you update maps for more than 160 countries worldwide has recently launched a new feature where you can find the driving directions as well as update the driving directions.
So if you go to Google Map Maker, you can now search for driving directions for India. Just enter the starting landmark and destination and Google will show you the directions.
These directions will not have complete information. For each driving directions step, Google will allow you to edit the intersection information, directions restrictions etc. So now you can first find the directions and then edit/update the directions.
Check out the screenshot I got for the directions from Sabarmati, Ahmedabad (Place where I lived) to Usman Pura, Ahmedabad. It is pretty amazing how Google is using people power to enhance its products and provide best user experience.
