Yahoo Maps India has definitely beat up Google, Microsoft and MapMyIndia. First of all Yahoo Maps India launched its driving directions feature for Indian cities and autorickshaw fares and now they have launched one of the most needed feature for Indian Maps.
Yahoo Maps India has introduced a new feature called "Vernacular" which shows Indian city maps in regional (local to that city or region) languages.

So if you open up Yahoo Maps India and go to Gujarat, you can click on the "vernacular" option and you can see Yahoo India Maps in Gujarati. Similarly if you search for Mumbai, you can see the map in Marathi.
That is a great feature for those who doesn't know english and wants to read maps in their local language. Though its not perfect, if you zoom into get more details, some village names etc are still now shown in that local language. Also local language doesn't work with hybrid mode.

Yahoo Maps India has also introduced a new feature called "Walk this Route". Once you find out the directions from point A to point B, it shows you an option to "Walk that Route". Once you click it, it shows you the time it takes to walk and shows the walking path.
Great addons to Yahoo Maps India. At this point, I would prefer to use Yahoo Maps rather than Google Maps for India cities and Indian driving directions.
