Film Production and animation company Shemaroo Entertainment has tied up with BPL Mobile to broadcast 15-minute bollywood movies which will be available on to GPRS enabled phones for the BPL mobile subscribers.
According to Mr. Hiren Gada, Vice President of Shemaroo, these 15-minute movies on mobile phones are not highlights or trailers, but are short versions of entire films. The movies are edited in such a way that the audience does not lose interest and the plot remains the same.
Currently the company has uploaded only three movies, Golmaal, Chupke Chupke and Sadma. Viewers will be charged at Rs 5 per minute which comes to Rs 75 for 15 minutes. Customers can view films as many times as they wish.
It would be interesting to see a Bollywood movie in 15 minues, the movie which normally takes 3 hours. :-) I am sure this would be the songs free version of the movie. (via: Tech2)
