Well I don't know how many of you guys use this feature and whether its still available or not but I found it interesting that using Reliance RIM Directory you can find out person's address from its phone number. This is limited to only for Reliance mobile numbers.

Its definitely possible to know another RIM user's no. or the address from a RIM No. I will describe how you can do this using your reliance cellphone.

1. Go to R-World on your handset.
2. Select "R- Guide" or "Guides"
3. Select "RIM Dir"

After the success (Atleast we think is after getting this many hits) of Indian Mobile Codes finder, one of the visitor request for Pakistan's mobile information. So we created the same functionality for Pakistani Mobile users.

Mobile industry has been continously exploring new ways to generate revenue beyond its telephony business. In the coming years, one could watch breaking news over their mobile handsets. It doesn't seem far from reality. Five of the world's largest mobile phone makers are already collaborating on specifications to deliver broadcast services to wireless handsets.

 

BSNL has started a new trend in India. BSNL along with Apalya Technologies Pvt. launched an end to end mobile video solution for providing world class TV through GSM mobile handsets called MiMobi.tv for BSNL EDGE/GPRS customers. The service is launched in Andhra Pradesh and looks like it would roll out to other states soon.
