Looks like now a days there is a social networking site for any topic that you love. Pet lovers, Teen agers, Old people, music lovers they all have social networking sites. And now a new addition is Microsoft Office lovers. Microsoft today launched its new social site ArtOfOffice.com, a site for Microsoft Office lovers.

 

Users will be able to upload/download Microsoft office Word, Excel or Powerpoint documents. According to the Mac Mojo Blog, Art of Office is a place for people to submit artistic and/or useful content made using Office applications (Word, Excel, or PowerPoint).

So basically all the smart phones + phone that supports XHTML viewing would be able to use MSN mobile services in India.

Back in March, Telecom service provider Hutch and Microsoft teamed up to offer Live Search for mobile users of India. Live Search enables Hutch customers to search for content like Tones, Images, Videos and Games on PlanetHutch as well as information from the web.

 

The Live Search for mobile will be available on the PlanetHutch home page. Currently Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad cities have this service available to Hutch customers. Now this service has been launched for GPRS users in Delhi.

Microsoft has quitely launched its translation services, Windows Live Translator. I don't think this is an official launch but looks like its live and available for use.

 

BabelFish which is AltaVista's language translation service is now bought by Yahoo. Looks like BabelFish and Windows Live Translator both runs on the same software called "SYSTRAN" which is founded by Dr. Peter Toma in 1968, is one of the oldest machine translation companies.

 

So if you visit BabelFish and Windows Live Translator, you will see a link pointing to Systran software site.

ImageI just came to know about Windows Mobile Live Search 3.0 beta release for WM5 & WM6. The new Windows Mobile Live Search has new features such as weather, My Collections, showing an address book contact on the map etc. I was trying something and found out that Windows Mobile Live Search also supports India and Indian cities.

You can download Windows Mobile Live Search 3.0 from {ln:nw:http://wls.live.com}. If you are running Windows Mobile 5, select Live Search form WM6 even though you are running WM5 to get these new features.
