You must be surprised after reading this title "Aishwarya Rai, Sania Mirza, Katrina Kaif, Indian Railways and NDTV" what the hell does that mean? Well these names (keywords) are few of the top 15 google queries from India.
I was shocked when I started monitoring the top indian google queries and I am sure you would be surprised too.
Well for the past six months, I have been monitoring Google Indian queries and guess what I found out? Few names are coming in top 15 for the last six months  consistently.
The winner is "Aishwarya Rai, Sania Mirza & Katrina Kaif". Among these three ladies, the first one is Sania Mirza.
Check out past six months top 15 google queries screen shots.

ImageGoogle is known for doing some cool stuff from the begining. They were the first one who launched this coolest mapping solution, Gmail and much more. They were the ones who launched free mobile maps. And if you have GPS in your phone, you can basically use your mobile as a navigation system.

But wait a minute, what if you don't have a GPS in your mobile but you have GPS enabled device or no GPS at all? Here is the good news, Google mobile maps has launched new feature called My Location in Beta. Now you can See your location on the map, with or without GPS. Save time and tedious keystrokes finding where you are, what's around you, and how to get there.

If you have a GPS-enabled device, this blue dot corresponds to your GPS location. At times, or if you do not have a GPS-enabled phone you might see the blue dot surrounded by a light blue circle to indicate uncertainty about your location.

Look at the image carefully. Its not a google logo, this is a logo for one of those golawala who sells Indian Slush Puppie - crushed ice with flavoured syrup on top. These young folks are running their Gogola in Mumbai's Bandra district.

Its so nice to see that Google is penetrating and inspiring such a small scale business. These golas are made with pure mineral water and you can get these ice golas in Kalakhatta, rose, orange, keri, masala kokum, masala soda and many more flavors.

Take a look at their lari design.. fultoo inspired by Google. One more place to go for Google Lovers!!

Once you download and install the file, you would be able to see Google Maps application in your Applications list.

I was able to see Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Vadodara and all major cities maps on my mobile. The application is pretty slick.

As it is official now that Yahoo! has launched Beta version for India Maps. The website profiling Indian web products and services "WebYantra.net" has published an article about the Yahoo Maps for India.

According to the site, its confirmed that the Yahoo Maps Data is provided by CE Info Systems. CE Info Systems owns the Desi (Indian) Mapping application MapMyIndia.com.

Even though its not official from Google, the Google Maps team has made a huge launch of streets, roads and place names for the country of India. This was released sometime around December 2006.

Previous to this launch Google Maps India showed a vast white space with the "Map" view toggled on making only satellite imagery available. The street maps that have been added for Indian cities also show symbols for various amenities such as hotels, police stations, cinemas and more.

So does it mean that Yahoo followed Google? Well I think so. Yahoo Maps for India launched early this year. If you look at Yahoo Maps India, you would see similar symbols, icons for restaurants, shopping centers, stadiums.
