Vinay from VOIP Guide is been doing a great work giving insights for free calls internationally. Vinay's blog VOIP Guides covers sites and techniques that can allow you to make free or cheap international calls.

To make free calls to India from UK, you can first get personal UK number from UK Number or UKNumber 4U. Once you get the free UK number, you can then setup the call forwarding to Indian number from the control panel.

Once you have that setup, you can use Ether VOIP to make cheap calls to your local UK number which then eventually will forward your call to India.
