I have been literally harassed by DishPRONTO, a dish network provider in USA and Canada. My wife moved from new york to new jersey after marriage and so cancelled the dish network service. I got calls from Dish PRONTO after few months regarding the Dish Network Offer in NJ.
I ordered the service and installation guys came to check for the line of sight. Because of the apartment location, we were not getting the line of sight and the order got cancelled. I got my refund back. After few months, DISHPRONTO started calling me back again and I told them that my apartment doesn't get the line of sight.
Even though I told them about my situation, they kept calling me over and over again. Last december one of their sales person called "EDVIN" called me again and I told him that my landlord doesn't allow me to install the dish and I don't get line of sight. He told me that is aware that they were not able to install Dish at my place and can install now with some better technology. I agreed and he specifically told me that there will be one time $49.99 charge + $14.99.
He made me big promises like giving me FREE home theater system and free equipment, 60 american channels etc etc to trap me. I specifially mentioned that if they wouldn't be able to install it, would I get my money back? The guys said yes you will get all your money refunded back as the order will be cancelled.
At the scheduled date, installation guys came for the inspection and went back right after looking at the apartment as they knew they won't be able to install it in my apartment. I called DISHPRONTO for this situation and they said they will refund the money. I got my $49.99 back but they are now not refunding my $14.99. I had a big argument with them over the phone and the managers said they would put my name in the "DO NOT CALL" list but I still get their F&*&ING phone call every month. I just called them today to ask for my refund and the service representative HUNG UP ON ME. They really pissed me off and now their attitude is wrong.
I found more cases like this. I am not the only one who got cheated by DISHPRONTO. I found this cousumer Fraud page where Amit had the same situation.
DISHPRONTO is been cheating customers and spoiling DISH Network image. If you think I deserve justice, please help me promote this story so that my voice can be heard. Their 800 number is 1-800-811-8467. If you get calls from this number, please don't pick it up. They are the biggest fraud and cheater.

The Dish Pronto number is no good and Dish Network is not taking any responsibility for Dish Pronto or Dish Promotions. I was promised a DVD Home Theater system in Sept 09 and never received it, but got locked into a 24 month contract with Dish Network who "can do nothing about their retailers." I have spent literally hours on the phone following up on this without any luck and without any consulation from Dish Network. I am having my lawyer look over the contract to see if I can get out of it (Direct TV is much easier and has better programming). But I'm sure Dish Network will have the upper hand. I am so tired of companies taking advantage of their customers by using tactics as "retailers" selling their product so they do not have to take any responsibilty for the seller's actions. By the way, I was told by a Dish Network representative that Dish Pronto is out of business.
