Here is one interesting site. Fast fingers touch typing system. The site gives step by step lessons for the beginers so that they can learn typing easily and free online. Now you don't have to go to typing classes to learn typing. I went two years into typing classes back in 90's to learn typing.

The site also has this speedtest where you can see the words that are showing up on the screen and you have to keep typing those words while you are reading it. This was a good test for me. I got 370 score. This was fun test though. Check out the website 10 Fast Fingers.com.
